About Me
I have three kiddos, ages 7, 5, and 2.5. I am also hard of hearing myself. I am completely deaf in my left ear, I had trouble with phonics growing up and was in a special reading class. I still have some trouble with my hearing when in loud places.
Education
I graduated from Radford University in 2007 with my bachelors degree. I have worked in 3 school districts over my 14 years. I have been in two public schools and then I have worked in the SC school for the Deaf.
Teaching Experience
14 years experience in the classroom. I am also a certified interpreter in the state of Virginia. I have an EIPA 3.4 in ASL, and then VQAS III,II. I have worked for Kumon when I first moved to Va.
Interests
I love sewing, quilting, and scrapbooking.
I love teaching and explaining science at every level!
